Outgoing Democratic Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe instructed a countrywide tv target market he’d knock President Donald Trump to the ground if the president ever attempted to intimidate him.
All the way through an interview Thursday on MSNBC’s “Hardball,” Chris Matthews requested McAuliffe how he would reply if Trump attempted to intimidate him all the way through a debate via soaring over him, as he did in a 2016 debate with Hillary Clinton, an in depth pal of McAuliffe’s.
McAuliffe answered: “You would have to pick out him up off the ground.”
McAuliffe, who was once a best Democratic fundraiser sooner than being elected governor in 2013, has been discussed as a imaginable presidential candidate.
McAuliffe has been a vocal critic of Trump, specifically after Trump mentioned “each side” shared blame after white nationalists and counterprotestors clashed all the way through a perilous rally in Charlottesville in August.
